I decided to clean the engine up real good and get it painted so it would look nice when we got it put in the beetle
Here is the engine after I did a lot of cleaning
Here I have the engine painted and I pulled off the intake and valve covers to put the new ones on. It looked very clean, but it should with only 5000 miles on it. I found an edelbrock performer intake for $25 so I decided to throw that on it.
Here I got the new intake painted and put on and I got my new valve covers sitting on there to see how it looked
Here I got the dist. put back in, the valve covers bolted down, harmonic balancer and crank pulley put back on.
I also got a new cap, rotor, coil, plug wires, new water pump, etc that I didn't have on yet.
