Our V8 Bug Project!

Since we decided to build a 350 V8 Powered Beetle we had to find a donor vehile. We ended up finding a 1977 chevy c-20 that only had 5000 miles on a remanufactured engine. The engine runs great!!!! Its starts right up, runs smooth, no smoke, etc.... I think we really got lucky and found us a good powerplant..... THANKS DAN!!!

Right now we aren't planning on any performance upgrades to the engine besides headers and a better exhaust. We'd rather spend the money building the car and later on we can mess with the engine a little bit. As of right now we arn't positive about what we are going to do for this project, but more than likely we'll ended up buying an S-10 for the chassis, rear end, suspension, etc and cut it down to fit the beetle body. I'm thinking that it would be too much work to try to make this 3/4 ton chassis work for us.

Below are a few pictures of the truck and engine the day after we brought it home.
