UH-18SP Subaru EA-82 Manual Choke
We were in such a hurry in Sept. to get the uh-18sp done in time for the WHC that we forgot to hook up the choke. When we were unloading the hover to work on the trailer it was a cold morning (it was about 40 out) the engine didn't want to rev about about 1000RPM, we thought we didn't let it warm up enough and din't think much about it. So when we went back to load the hover back onto the trailer we let it warm up more and it did the same thing and we didn't have enough power to climb up onto the trailer. Then we both remember that we forgot to hook up the choke. --- We bought a manual choke conversion kit and here it is on the ea-82 subaru engine.
Of coarse the choke cable that came with the kit wasn't long enough so we had to splice two of them together.
We used a lawn mower cable to extend the choke cable, it works really good because it locks into the open position.
